#Project366 – week 38

Fruit, meat, cheese, seafood, cake…I feel like practically every food group (!) has been represented in these snapshots of the eats and treats I enjoyed one week way back in mid-September…

#260 - apple slices and peanut butter

Day #260Healthy carb-free evening snack of crunchy Braeburn apple dipped in creamy peanut butter

#261 - coffee cake

Day #261What’s your favourite cake flavour? For me nothing beats a coffee cake, especially when it’s as light and airy as this slice that I treated myself to for dessert during a quick dinner in Parliament’s Debate canteen

#262 - Pitt Cue Co bone marrow mash

Day #262 – As soon as I arrived at Pitt Cue Co for a birthday visit with my female food-blogging friends, I knew I’d have to make another trip with my boyfriend ASAP so he could check out their incredibly tender and flavoursome meat dishes for himself. This date took longer than I’d hoped to slot in to our busy schedules, but when we eventually returned to the BBQ bench we were rewarded for our patience with this rich and creamy bone marrow mashed potato

#263 - welcome to Ocado

Day #263Entering a whole new era of grocery home delivery and decent customer service courtesy of Ocado

#264 - bulk preparing beef enchiladas

Day #264 – Preparing a bumper batch of beef enchiladas, one of my weeknight staple suppers…let me know if you’d like me to share my tried and tested recipe on this blog!

#265 - banoffee pie

Day #265 – Banoffee pie with oodles of toffee sauce served up in a dimly-lit Brighton restaurant…a final moment of the calm before the start of my insanely busy week at Liberal Democrat Conference

#266 - black squid ink risotto

Day #266My first time tasting squid ink, incorporated into a beautifully-presented mini portion of prawn risotto at a lunchtime reception
